does anyone know why there's a red dot on the smiley face icon on samsung s23 ultra? on the samsung keyboard, I've been looking through settings and can't find any new added icons or any reason this red dot is there

Generally a red dot means that there's something new.

Hi, I request you to please perform Clear cache on the app and check.

Also check the device updated with latest version, if not please update it and check.

I come from the future to tell you that this red dot has been bothering me for the better part of 4 months.

And here's the solution:

Apparently, Samsung added the ability to use Bitmoji emoticons right from your smiley face emoji panel. Pretty useless in my opinion, and I find these Bitmojis ultra cringe.

Anyway, to remove the red dot, you simply have to go to Settings > General Management > Samsung Keboard settings, then scroll all the way down to find an option called "Select third party content to use"

Inside this, you'll find "Bitmoji" enabled with no prior notice at all. Just disable that and the red dot should go away.
