Can someone please tell me how to rename a photo or video that's been saved from a website?

With the previous operating system, you clicked edit, then the file name and change it to whatever you want. That no longer works.

Thanks

There are 2 ways to do this:

- Open the picture on Gallery app
- Swipe up
- Click on file path
- Click Edit on top right corner

Now you can change the file name

Or you can open My Files app (if you know where is the file downloaded)

In My Files app, long press on downloaded file to select. Click 3 dots on bottom right corner. Click Rename.

Thanks, but your first method was the way I used to do it. I can no longer click in the file name anymore. only add location information or tags.

I guess I'll use the second method, although it takes twice as long.

It works for me. Have you just upgrade your phone to OneUI 3.1?

Is it you cannot edit all picture filenames or just specific one picture?

After trying several things, I decided to restart my phone, which hadn't been done in a while. Everything is back to normal. Thanks @Tallman and @keagan for your time.
