Hello samtip,

Can you try the following and see if it helps?

Click Settings → Camera → storage

Clear data
Clear cache

Then go back to camera and see if the problem still exist.

Follow these steps one by one to find the source of the problem. It's a software-based error, so no need to worry.

1. Force-quit the camera app
Go to Settings/Apps and find the camera app, tap on it and choose 'Force Stop'. Wait a few seconds and open the camera.

2. Restart your phone
Hold down the power and volume down key for 10 seconds. In the boot screen, use the volume down key to choose 'Normal Boot' and let your phone restart completely.

3. Reset app preferences
Go to Settings/Apps and choose 'Reset App Preferences' from the three-dot menu at the top-right corner of the screen.

4. Wipe cache partition
Turn off your phone. Now press and hold the volume up and Bixby keys and then press and hold the power key until you see the android logo on the screen. Use the volume down key to choose 'Wipe Cache Partition' and hit the power button.

5. Go to the safe mode
Turn your phone off. Press and hold the power key until you see the Samsung logo. Then release the power key and immediately press and hold the volume down key until you see safe mode at the bottom-left corner of the screen. If the camera works flawlessly in this mode, there's a conflicting app on your phone and you have to restart your phone and uninstall them one by one to find the culprit.

6. Factory reset your phone and if the problem persists, contact Samsung and talk to an advisor.

Uhm - Yeah... Settings - Apps - Camera - Storage - Clear Cache & Data for the Camera is all that's needed & your #3 will reset the preferences for ALL the Apps...

Kinda overkill for fixing this error message with the Camera - Thorough - But shouldn't be necessary past Clearing Cache & Data for the app 🐧

By resetting app preferences, not just the app data, but disabled apps, background app restrictions and other permission restrictions will be reset, which may be the source of the problem.
