I've got an S10+ and use the swipe feature on the keyboard.  Every screen i use it on,  including this forum,  automatically adds a space between words.  But when I open Chrome and do a Google search,  it never adds the spaces between the words.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks.

Try do the same thing on Samsung Internet browser, if it works on Samsung Internet browser, most likely is Google Chrome problem.

everything is up to date and I've rebooted several times. Same result with the Samsung browser.

Please try to clear the cache and data and force stop the Samsung keyboard app and check. Follow the below steps to clear the cache and data of the Samsung keyboard App:
Open Settings >> Apps >> Samsung keyboard >> Storage >> Clear Cache and Clear Data.
To force stop the app: Open Settings >> Apps >> Samsung keyboard >> Storage >> Force Stop. Then reboot the device.
Note: Clearing the data will reset the app to factory default settings. Any personal settings saved on the app will be removed.

Try the Google keyboard and see if the behavior with it is the same.

To anyone who ends up here searching for an answer to this, there isn't one.  It's an Android bug that Google has refused to fix for nearly a decade, and it doesn't look like they are going to do so ever, possibly because they hate their users, possibly because the AI they created has taken over and is too busy plotting our destruction, or perhaps just because the search engine turned mega corporation is exactly the trash fire it ostensibly appears to be and all the stupid yuppy liberals that work there are so busy doing stupid protests, self loathing, taking pictures to prove they are having fun, and virtue signaling all of it over instagram to the people they are standing right next to that they don't have time to do even the baboon-level-of-competency grade work that  their real jobs consist of.  Or maybe the reason is that's where the NSA's backdoor is buil-p yíøó¾‘ç; hmnkloi;hn/

This isn't an android bug. This is my first samsung and I'm having the same issue, but until now, I've always had Motorola prior to this and I've legit never had this issue, ever. My newest moto was a G7 plus, which is only about a year or so old. Clearly this isn't an android specific issue if other phone brands are able to fix it. I'm kind of regretting switching phones now, it's so annoying...I didn't pay 3x as much for a phone that would annoy me. Ugh.

I found here as I had the same issue. Installing a different keyboard has fixed the issue for me. I've gone for Yandex as Swype doesn't exist on the play store anymore. I hope that works for others!
