I just posted a issue with the voice recorder no longer working on my phone after the last update. I received two suggestions, but am now getting a server error response that won't let me respond to those comments.

If anybody can chime in further, that would be appreciated. I did a cache partition wipe as suggested, and it did not fix the issue. Would wiping the app data mean losing recordings?

Thanks to everyone for their help.

Hi Tetsuo1980,

The reason why you are getting a server error response that won't let you respond to those comments is due to image spamming in the community, We have temporarily changed the authorization of Beginner Level 1 and the requirement for Beginner Level 2. Below are the changes: For Beginner Level 1:

Samsung Members Web: Writing posts, Reply and Private Message is not possible.

Samsung Members App: Writing posts are allowed, But Reply is not possible.

The requirement for Beginner Level 2: Ranked up 5 days after the joining Samsung Members.

- Please try to start your device in Safe Mode and check if it fixes the issue.

Follow the below steps:

First, open the Power menu: On devices with a regular Power key, press and hold the Power key until the Power menu is displayed.

On devices with a Side key, swipe down with two fingers from the top of the screen to open Quick Settings.

Tap the Power icon at the top of the screen.
Touch and hold Power off until the Safe mode icon is displayed.

Tap Safe mode to start the device in Safe mode.

If Safe mode has been entered successfully, "Safe mode" will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Now try to open the voice recording app and check. If the issue is gone in Safe mode, then clear the data of the Voice recording app. If the issue persists uninstall and then reinstall the app.

Note: Clearing the data will reset the app to factory default settings and Permanently deletes all app data. Any personal settings saved on the app will be removed.

You canttemporarily move any saved recordings to a new folder on your internal, or external storage, before you clear data for voice recorder. This way you won't permanently lose your saved recordings.
