Has anyone else's galaxy s20 started randomly restarting? Is there a way to fix the problem? I've already deleted any new apps I've put on and attempted to run it in safe mode but nothing works

Nope, never had the issue on my S20 Ultra.

Other than what you have already tried..

Boot into Recovery & Wipe Cache.

If that doesn't work, Backup with Smart Switch & Factory Reset.

Still have a problem.. visit a Samsung Service center.

Instructions:

Power of your device & Wait a few seconds.

Press & HOLD the Power + Volume UP buttons, until you feel the device vibrate. Release BOTH buttons & wait a couple of seconds until you see the Recovery Menu.

Use the Volume button to Scroll down to Wipe Cache & Select with the Power button.

Wait a few seconds until the Recovery Menu Defaults to "Restart Now" & Select with the Power Button.

Your device will Reboot.

Factory Reset is the same as above, but instead of Selecting Wipe Cache, you Select Wipe Data Factory Reset.

⚠️⚠️⚠️

BEFORE you Factory Reset, BACKUP your device with Smart Switch.

When your device Boots up, it will be to the Welcome screen, same as when you first received your device as new.

⚠️You'll need to know your passwords etc, So write them down if you need to⚠️

Did you try the suggestions already posted?

  1. Clearing Cache from Recovery?
  2. Safe Mode?
  3. Backup & Factory Reset?

I tried clearing cache yesterday night. And it didn't restarted yesterday night. Ill keep updated if it happens again. Thanks for the information 😁. Also do you have any idea why its happening ?

The first thing that comes to mind, is that it sounds like possibly a conflict with an user installed app. But it's also possible that there's a Setting, or even an app that has the necessary permissions to allow the random Reboots.

You could always go to Samsung Members & Support, Scroll down and Send an Error Report.. but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a useful answer from Samsung... Although their actual Tech Support SHOULD be better than what we see here, or from Samsung's Chat Support.. both of which are pretty uniformed & extremely basic in their knowledge & abilities.. Think "Flipchart" responses.

See if Wiping Cache fixed the issue, as doing this will clear out any "ju*nk" files from your system, but the Cache gets rebuilt immediately after Restarting your device, so if there is something else, as I mentioned above, it may likely continue... but 🤞

Same with mine. I even made sure to use the factory charging cord in case it had something to do with that but still restarted through the night
