I have a S22 Ultra (purchased from Samsung) run the latest UI6 software.

I was previously on Fido mobile and had a handy Quick Access Tile to toggle WiFi Calling or go to WiFi Calling settings by holding on it.

I just switched to Freedom mobile and suddenly that Quick Access Tile disappeared. I tried to edit the tiles to bring it back but it's not in the available tiles either.

WiFi calling itself works fine and I can control it through the Samsung Phone app settings. But the Quick Access Tile was more convenient, especially since I prefer the Google dialer.

Why and how is this feature carrier specific?

Is there any way to get the tile back? I've seen suggestions of using adb to do it but I couldn't get it to work and haven't found anyone confirming they could. Has anyone here managed to do it?

Thanks!

I'm not sure what the WiFi Calling QS Tile is called, to edit the QS Tiles the same way as for Mobile Data & HotSpot Toggles (not needed for Mobile Data Toggle any longer), but there's a few apps on the Play Store that allow you to add a QS Tile for pretty much anything that you want.

Search on the Play Store for something like "Samsung QS Tile Editor" app.

You'll almost certainly need to use adb to enable the QS Tile for WiFi Calling within the app.

I've got an old (no longer offered) app from the Play Store. It was from a Dev "Rascarlo".

Here's his Github link.

If I get a chance I'll see if I can find the apk & post it here.

Thanks, I'll look for one in the Playstore.

Same for me when I switched from Rogers to Telus but with Telus you can leave ON as it will switch only if signal is weak. I can't put a priority.

On mine if you open the Samsung phone app and open settings in the ... menu, there's a Wi-Fi calling line. It has a toggle but if you tap on the text you'll get a sub-menu with a Calling Preference line where you can select mobile or wifi preferred.

Yes I know... Buy with Telus it's locked to mobile network priority. With Rogers I was able to change it to wifi priority.

TELUS!!! That's unfortunate. I guess the carriers have a lot of fine grained control, even if I don't understand why they would care. Glad at least it works.

Untill now I am disappointed... Can't wait for winback offer. Signal is so weak inside buildings as they own small amount of 700MHz and 600MHz is not activated yet. Noy normal to use wifi calling in Montreal... But at least thry answer calls not like Rogers.

I was looking at Koodo, their flanker brand, and had a question. That's when I discovered they don't have a customer support phone number at all and no way to chat with a human online. If you need help apparently you have to visit a store in person. That ruled it out for me.

That doesn't work on mine. Preferred network or wifi won't work either.
