Sometimes as I am using my S22 Ultra, I notice the video starts buffering for extremely long time or content doesn't load. So then I downloaded the Speedtest app and ran it, and it is saying my wifi speed is 1 Mbps. I tried switching the wifi to a 5Ghz wifi connection, and it only increased to 5 mbps. Then after a while, it goes back to a really fast (170mbps+) speed. But this issue happens very frequently and I often am noticing random slowness. Sometimes I disconnect from the wifi then I can't even connect back! It says "connected no internet" or something when I try to reconnect.

The Speedtest app I am using is Speedtest by Ookla. I noticed that when I run the Speedtest app, whenever my S22 Ultra is getting very slow network, the "Test server" (shown in the Speedtest app) is always different than the usual "test server" and the test server on my S20/21

When I run the exact same Speedtest app on the exact same network from my Galaxy S20 or S21, the speed is ALWAYS above 170 mbps.

I don't think that it's your device.

I have seen this happen on my S20 Ultra if I'm away from home and using WiFi elsewhere.

I have seen WiFi speeds being severely reduced with some different VPNs.

You can try Resetting the network connections on your phone as well as your Router.

See if that helps.

Hi, if your wi-fi connection is unstable and you cannot use the high speed of your Wi fi connection, try resetting your network settings.
Step 1. Go to Settings and select General management.
Step 2. Select Reset.
Step 3. Select Reset network settings.
Step 4. Check the on-screen information and tap Reset settings.
Step 5. Tap Reset. Please keep us posted if your Wi fi connection issue is resolved.

I've already tried resetting my network settings, no luck. This issue is only on my S22 Ultra device and has never happened before on any device that I have (S20, s21, ipad, surfacebook, surface go, MacBook, etc)

Hi, you can assign an IP address to your device using the network information from your PC. Make sure you are using a PC that is connected to the same network as your phone.

1.To find your mobile device IP address, navigate to and open Settings. Tap About phone, and then tap Status. The IP address will be listed as a set of four numbers under IP address.

2.Next, you will need to find your network information. The easiest way to retrieve the information about the Gateway address, etc. is using a PC already connected to the AP/Router.

Note that you will not be able to use the same IP address that is assigned to the PC.
Change the last number of the IP address to something that is not already in use.
Many routes leave 200 undefined and 250 unassigned for this reason.

3.Click Start, type "CMD" into the search bar, and then press Enter. Type "ipconfig/all" into the black box, and then press Enter. The IP address, Gateway, and DNS settings will be displayed.
Please write down all of these numbers because they will be needed when you configure the IP settings on your device.

4.Now you can use this information to assign a static IP to your phone.
On your mobile device, navigate to and open Settings. Tap Connections, and then tap Wi-Fi. Tap the network you want to connect to.

If the network has already been configured, tap Forget, and then reconnect the network using the below steps.
If needed, enter the network password. Then, tap Show advanced options. Tap the IP settings drop-down menu, and then tap Static. Tap the IP address and enter the new IP address. Tap Gateway and enter the Gateway address from your PC. Tap Network prefix length and then enter the appropriate info in the CIDR notation. Most people will encounter these IP ranges on their home wireless routers:

◦If the IP address starts with 192.168, enter 24

◦If the IP address starts with 10.0, enter 8

◦If the IP address starts with 172.16, enter 12

◦For anything else, consult the settings in your router configuration.

5.Tap DNS1, and then enter the Preferred DNS you want the device to use. Tap DNS2, enter the Alternate DNS you want the device to use, and then tap Connect. If Connect is grayed out, the information you entered has an error. Double check your entries.

I have the same issue. Only way to fix it is restart the phone and so goes back to 600mbs, but after few hours gets slow again to 10mbs. Such an expensive phone... what a shame!
