Hey there, after the One UI 7 update, my S23 Ultra is getting laggy, slow, and the battery is draining very quickly. Does anyone else feel the same? Also, whenever I try to play heavy games like COD or PUBG, the screen brightness decreases automatically, although I never turned on adaptive brightness or any other screen brightness-related setting. I don't know what's going on with Samsung. But I personally feel that other mobile phone brands like Vivo, Oppo, Xiomi, Huawei are serious about making phones, while Samsung and Apple are just competing with each other.

Hi sr23654,

We’re sorry to hear you’re encountering performance issues, battery drain, and screen brightness concerns after the One UI 7 update on your Galaxy S23 Ultra.

To help with the lag and battery drain, we recommend the following steps:

Clear system cache by entering Recovery Mode and selecting Wipe Cache Partition. This will clear temporary system files without deleting your personal data and can help fix lag or performance issues after updates.

  1. Turn off your phone completely.

  2. Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Power button simultaneously.

  3. When the Samsung logo appears, release both buttons.

  4. The phone will enter Recovery Mode (a black screen with text menu).

  5. Use the Volume Down button to navigate to “Wipe cache partition.”

  6. Press the Power button to select it.

  7. Confirm by selecting “Yes” using the Volume buttons to navigate and the Power button to confirm.

  8. Once the process completes, select “Reboot system now” and press the Power button.

Please ensure all apps are updated from the Galaxy Store and Play Store.

Try Battery and device care > Diagnostics to check for any background issues.

If the issue persists, a factory data reset after backing up your data can sometimes resolve post-update performance degradation.

Here are helpful guides on backing up and resetting your device:

Your feedback truly matters, we respect your opinion and assure you that user experience remains a priority for us.

Thank you.

Hey there, thanks for your quick response on this issue. But,after i tried all these methods a few weeks ago, none of it works. I don't know what the root cause of it is?

Hi sr23654,

Thank you for getting back to us. We understand how frustrating it is to go through multiple steps without seeing improvement, and we truly appreciate your patience.

Since the issue has persisted despite trying the recommended solutions, the best course of action now would be to submit an Error Report through the Samsung Members app. This allows our technical team to analyze system logs and pinpoint the root cause more accurately.

To send an Error Report:

  • Open the Samsung Members app

  • Tap Support > Send feedback > Error reports

  • Select the appropriate category (e.g., Battery or Performance)

  • Describe the issue in detail and submit shortly after experiencing it for best results

This will help us investigate further and work toward a more effective solution.

They make slow movements happen and just wrecked their software. Completely ruined everyone's devices.

I'm facing slow mobile internet [network settings reset, using eSIM, carrier support contacted, S23 restarted, Google PlayStore uodated), the Nike app just updated 2 days ago) and I've already power cycled twice already.

My Nike App - cached cleared, uninstalled and rebooted re-installed direct from play store directly
