Is there anyone who noticed brightness drop in S24 Ultra after One UI 7 ???

Few months back I brought S24 Ultra, and it was working all fine. But as soon as I've updated it to One UI 7
I started observing that my phone losted some brightness

Steps that I took:
> I've checked phone's battery saver and performance profile and make sure that battery saver is turned off and performance profile is standard not light

> my next step was turning of extra dim feature and then turn on the extra brightness feature, but that doesn't worked

> So I turned my phone off for an hour, thinking that might happened cause off overheating, but after getting no results on display I preffered to use members app and ask the people first before making complaint to support team

Fortunately, the phone is only 5-6 months old and still has samsung care package

If I doesn't get any tip to fix it, I'll send it to the samsung team.

Not for me but some other people are reporting that too. It could just be a bug. Which is sad because oneui 7 has been through multiple beta testing stages and it still has bugs. I've also noticed my battery draining quicker

Not to mention I've had my s24 ultra for about the same time as you and what I'm aware of is pretty much everybody's screen is really grainy on low brightness. Which is sadly a hardware issue. But the issue you are talking about is most likely a software bug that they might fix in a future update hopefully!

I noticed the opposite, where my screen was more brighter. I disabled/enabled adaptive brightness and it seems to have corrected itself after. At least for me. Battery drain... still too early to tell since I just installed it yesterday. I'll know better once the work week starts.

Hi Karan_1199,

We understand your concern regarding the brightness levels on your Galaxy S24 Ultra following the One UI 7 update. Your detailed explanation and the troubleshooting steps you've already taken are greatly appreciated.

We kindly recommend the following steps if you haven’t tried them yet:

Test in Bright Light Conditions: Go outdoors or into a well-lit area and observe whether the screen brightness increases as expected.

Boot into Safe Mode: This helps determine if a third-party app is affecting display behavior. Press and hold the Power button > Tap and hold "Power off" > Select Safe Mode.

Reset Settings: Go to Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset All Settings. This will not delete your personal data but will reset system settings including display preferences.

Submit an Error Report: Go to the Samsung Members app > Support > Error reports. Choose Display > Brightness issue, and submit with system logs for our engineers to review.

Thank you.

I had this same issue and it turned out to be an accessibility setting that got turned on after the update.

Go to Accessibility > Vision Enhancements and find the Extra Dim setting and see if it's on.

There is no indication anywhere that this setting is enabled except for in this menu and it persists through reboots and stays on even when the phone is in safe mode.

I was lucky I found it after skimming through basically every setting menu as it doesn't show up when searching the settings for "brightness".
