I had this question before but still no hope to fix it. My s22 ultra after June update has many problems.
It is slow and the most annoying thing is that Google maps in car android auto display freezes if I start navigation in satellite view.
I only can use it in normal map view.
Factory reset of phone and also car display didn't solve it. Note 9 with its old android works perfectly.
Samsung phones had this problem last year as I saw in my search. Non if Google or Samsung couldn't fix it. Both ignore it.
I just start to using my note 9 again. Probably will sell my s22 ultra in kijiji.
I am using Google maps satellite view a lot for my work and this bug hurts me badly.
I wish I didn't buy s22 ultra.
Samsung why it is so difficult for you to fix this problem?

Just a thought...do you need to update your car's software instead? Since S22U got the new update, if your car's software not compatible, may have such a problem. Possible? I just guess...🤷🏻

Thank you. I was thinking about it too but all searches suggested this is related to the phone.

Nah, it's not your phone, it's Google.

They have been planning on shutting down Android Auto for a couple of years now, and replacing it with Google Assistant Driving Mode.

But it's still a little confusing.. Thanks Google.. 🙄

Have a look at the links below:

Thank you. Google Assistant Driving Mode is only taking the place of Android Auto for Phone Screens, not the Android Auto you use in your car. My problem is on car screen.

Hi Vetman,

I had the same problem with my S21+, and it is not a Samsung's issue but Google maps and Android Auto. Check in Google Play Store with your Google account regularly for updates.

I had to update the firmware for my Kia. And it works fine now. I also did a reset for my console.
