S23 shutter sound

Instead of constantly having to turn off my system sounds on my phone and then trying to remember to turn them back up. Is there not an option to turn off the shutter sound for my camera? Every other Samsung phone I've had I had the option of turning it off in the camera settings. Now with the s23 there is no such option in the camera settings? That is incredibly annoying.

It's also super annoying that I can't change the notification tones for different messaging platforms I have on my phone, it's one option for all apps combined, just stupid

For the shutter sound, you can use Bixby routines so that everytime you open the camera app, it lowers your sound and then have it turn back on the sound when you exit the camera app.

As for your notifications, go in the notification categories of each app and you can set different notification sounds.

Everything is possible to change and set. You just need to know your way through the system UI

The only options that I have in notification sounds are ringtone, notification sound, system sound and volume. There is no option to differentiate between sms or whatsapp like my s21 did

No no. You don't go into the notification sounds of your settings.

You go into the app itself and then go into notification categories.

A bit tedious but here are the screenshots below. You can set a different sound for each category that you want for each app.

That would be great but that does not come up on my s23 fe. I can't even toggle those things on or off.

For the camera sound, you have to set a Bixby routine.

I have my phone on vibrate permanently so I never get the sound but if you have your ringer on, you can set a Bixby routine so that when you open the camera app, it turns off your sound or puts your phone in do not disturb and then when you exit the camera app, it reverts that action.
