I can't turn off shutter sound on my s23 ultra and it's really loud when in public, I don't need everyone looking at me when I take screenshot or selfies it's embarrassing.. there's no setting to turn it off and the suggestions to turn down volume doesn't work either?

Just reduce system notifications to zero and you won't hear anything.

See my comments on this thread to use bixby routines to turn off sounds when opening camera and turn sounds back on when exiting camera.

It's the only option to turn off the camera shutter sound without having to keep your phone on vibrate or silent at all times.

You can also use Tasker to turn off System sound when you open the camera.

Hi 7layerdinner,

We certainly understand that the inability to turn off the shutter sound on your Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra can indeed be frustrating.

Please visit the link provided by Deeezzyyy, using Bixby Routines is a smart and user-friendly alternative to Tasker for automating the process of muting and restoring sounds when using the Camera app.

You can also use Tasker as suggested by RedDogRabbit, since it is a versatile way to address the issue. Tasker allows you to automate actions, and you can use it to mute the system sounds whenever you open the camera app.

Thank you Deeezzyyy and RedDogRabbit for your suggestions.
