I bought a new Galaxy S23 Ultra. And it won't connect to my Nintendo Switch. Shannon (chat id : #95870236) suggested that I clear my partition cache. I've done that. I've reinstalled Pokémon Go three times. It still won't connect. Yet it connects with my old Galaxy Note 10+ and IPad. Anyone have any ideas? Did I forget to turn on an option? And yes. Bluetooth is on.

I’m glad you got a reply as I did not get one.  I hope this new release will be out soon.  Thanks for sharing.

Me too. Unfortunately when you actually go into the link. It doesn't really apply to my situation. But here's hoping.

Just retested with s23 and flip z4 :

-pokemon go android app is updated to 0.265

-trainer name is greater than 3 characters.

-all software updates downloaded from Samsung

-all software updates downloaded for Switch

The switch still can't find the Samsung phone to pair with.

It is not like this is some random combination of hardware from ali express.

These are mainstream flagship devices.

I tested with the 0.265 with my Samsung S23 Ultra with a trainer name greater than 3 characters and I still can not pair to my Nintendo switch.

I just sent Niantic the following message…

I saw your reply to several Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra users regarding the fact that it would not pair with the Nintendo Switch with Violet or Scarlet. You said it would be fixed in the 0.265 upgrade. Many Samsung S23 users were waiting to apply this update. I can tell you after applying and restarting both the phone and the switch, the problem still exists. I have the latest Android OS, my name is greater than 3 characters and 0.265 did not fix anything. This is Samsung's flagship phone and I would think you need to resolve this quickly as I have seen multiple posts in the Samsung forum complaing about Niantic not coming up with a solution better then sign on to another phone. Please provide a reply that I will be happy to share with every one on the forum.

Let’s see if they reply.  If so I will share their response.

I think anyone reading this should start complaining to Niantic about the SAMSUNG S23 not working with Pokemon Go and pairing with the Nintendo switch.  Also if Samsung is reading this, all of your previous GALAXY Phones worked why not my S23 Ultra?  We need help here and not being ignored by Samsung and NIANTIC.

BTW if anyone has figured out a solution short of Niantic’s advice to use another Phone, please share it with the group.
