I have two S23 Ultras and the S Pen smells of burnt or over charged battery. No leaks so far but everytime i pull it out, it stinks.
Does anyone else have this problem?
I took it to the Samsung authorized dealer as per Samsung tech support's recommendation. The repair shop is telling me that the S Pen is not a part of the cell phone repair and cannot do anything about it. No report can be done as well.

Quite possibly the smell is actually normal, and to borrow from your analogy.. It'd be like objecting, to the odour from the exhaust of the car's gasoline engine.

It is what it is?

Hmmm... I don't want to sound like a jerk but you put gasoline in itself is toxic and has foul sent. If it is odorless then I would have to accept it as it is but in this case, S Pen smelling like a leaked/over charged battery itself is toxic. And, yes, I've smelled batteries that had over charged, bubbled up and cracked which had released the exact same scent. Hope you understand.

The capacitor only gets charged when using air command as it uses Bluetooth.

If you disable it it won't ever use the capacitor.

The smell is normal and goes away after a while, I've had multiple phones do the same thing.

But I had this phone for a few months now, and the pen still smells like a burnt smell ,
This phone has a nice camera, but besides that what other features does this phone have?

If the smell really bothers you then spray it with perfume 😂

What do you mean what features? Just go to the tips section in the settings app to learn more.

Air command is one of the features of the S Pen and has been one of the main features of S Pen. You're telling me to disable it. It like, "this brand new car comes with air conditioning. If it happens to smell, don't use it. It is what it is."

Like I've said in my post, I just wanted to find out if other users are faced with the same issue. Please, don't over think this post.

You clearly misinterpreted what I said lol.

The smell is normal, I already mentioned that.

Ok. Let's just agree that we disagree on what it means to be normal. Clearly, the smell of burnt battery doesn't concern you.
My main concern on this is the life expectancy of the S Pen could be shot due to this. According to Samsung, the S Pen should last the normal life expectancy of the phone. If by any chance the S Pen doesn't last 2 years, the S23 Ultra users would have to cough up the money to replace it.
