Since the last software update, vibration is almost totally broken on my S23 Ultra.

Initially, I assumed it was the vibration motor failing as a test in the "diagnostics" revealed only a very weak vibration that could only be detected by putting my ear to the back of the phone.

HOWEVER -- haptic vibration is working 100% for the "back" gesture and when toggling things within the Settings.  It feels as full and robust as ever.  And yet, it is working nowhere else.

Obviously, if the motor had failed, haptic vibrations would not be working.

I have already verified that vibration is turned on everywhere.  When I receive a notification, if my ear is to the phone I can hear the vibration, but it is at an extremely low level.

It would seem that something was broken in the vibration intensity feature with this update that affected everything except system haptics.

Nothing wrong with the vibration on my S23 Ultra since the last update.

You could try Booting into Recovery & Wipe Cache...I do that after every Security Patch OTA anyway.

See if that fixes the issue for you?

Hi, as said by RedDogRabbit have you tried to perform wipe cache partition? Please follow the below steps if you haven't performed it and see if it fixes the issue.

This will not erase personal data on the phone. It deletes temporary cache files in the phone.

1) Turn off the device.

2) Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Power Key.

3) When the Android logo displays, release all keys.(("Installing system update" is displayed before displaying the Android system recovery menu options).

4) Press the Volume down key several times to highlight “wipe cache partition.”

5) Press the Power key to select.

6) Press the Volume down key to highlight “yes” and press the Power key to select.

7) When the wipe cache partition is complete, “Reboot system now” is highlighted. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Did you check the Settings in Sounds & Vibration?

Just to make sure that it is on?

This has happened with my Samsung S22 Ultra.

The exact the same thing. It's only changed after the update.

I've gone through every setting and put them on high intensity but nothing.

When I get calls it vibrates fine so it's clearly a software issue or bug.

Samsung please fix it or advise how we fix it ourselves as it's really annoying!!
