Everyone knows this model suffers from a design flaw resulting a crackling sound from the bottom speaker. I also know that a simple solution to solve this is by taking out the sim tray. The problem is the crackling sound returns after awhile!! I now have to always remove the SIM tray to address the issue and its getting annoying. It's unacceptable for $2k CAD i paid for this device. Does the warranty cover this?

Hmm good day.. i haven't had that kind of issue yet on my S23ultra.. but if that does happen to me, ill try your solution of removing sim card...

You should try calling customer service, maybe you are still covered with warranty or you purchased Samsung Care plus before..

It seems it could be a manufacturing flaw instead cause not everyone is complaining about it. Taking out the sim tray and putting it back 100% fixes it but the annoying part is that the crackling sound eventually comes back. Totally unacceptable for such a top of the line device let alone a brand like Samsung.

Normally (it is NOT supposed to be normal), the issue is caused by a change in internal v external air pressure. It's most frequently reported by people who are travelling by air. However ambient temperature changes may result in a similar issue.

Short of drilling a hole in the case of the device (No, that is DEFINITELY NOT a suggestion), removing the SIM tray / just opening the SIM tray, equalizes the air pressure differential.

I think that you might be hard pressed to get it fixed under warranty, as it is likely a design flaw.

If you remember the Note 7 🔥, it took some time for Samsung to acknowledge the issue.. so..

I love the phone.. it's literally a pocket DSLR with smart features. Its tragic how such a phone has this simple but extremely annoying problem. If it's not covered, I am still keeping it. No way I'm gonna sell it and lose $500 in the process.
