After the last update to
One UI 7
Android ver 15 as of Apr 1, 2025,

the palm swipe to screen cap has stopped working properly. When trying to palm swipe, the screen moves instead of freezing to take the pic.

Please deal with the bugs since it encourages users to not bother updating.

Have you check "Palm swipe to capture" enabled?

After OS upgrade, try do a Wipe Cache Partition. See if this help.

- Power off your phone
- Press and hold vol up and power key until you are in recovery mode
- use vol up and down to navigate
- select Wipe Cache Partition
- press power key to confirm
- click yes
- click reboot system

Thanks for the suggestion. Didn't know they existed. It did not resolve the issues.

After the One UI 7 update there is an option for a icon in the quick settings pull down menu for taking a screen shot1747491160613.jpg

Hi skyburn,

Please Restart your device and make sure Palm swipe to capture is still enabled: Settings > Advanced Features > Motions and Gestures > Palm swipe to capture. Try performing the swipe slowly and make sure your hand touches the edge of the screen.

Thank you.
