Galaxy STry Uninstalling & Reinstalling the apps that are causing you issues.
It's hardly likely that Samsung fell off the cliff & released a device that is suddenly more problematic than the first Android ever..

Galaxy SHi, we are really sorry to hear that the software update caused the freezing issue.
Even after trying everything but the issue is not resolved, we request you to please "Back up" the data and perform Factory reset on the device by using the below link and check.

However, we will definitely forward this to our team for review, as the issue started after the recent software update.
