Galaxy SHi dominiccccseb,
Thank you for sharing the screenshot. We understand how concerning it can be to see noticeable battery drain within a short period, especially with minimal usage.
After a major update like One UI 7, it’s common for some background processes to continue for a few days as the system re-optimizes. However, we recommend trying the following to help improve performance:
Wipe the cache partition via Recovery Mode to clear temporary system files. This clears temporary system files without deleting your personal data and can often resolve performance issues after updates.
-
Turn off your phone completely.
-
Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Power button simultaneously.
-
When the Samsung logo appears, release both buttons.
-
The phone will enter Recovery Mode (a black screen with a text menu).
-
Use the Volume Down button to navigate to “Wipe cache partition.”
-
Press the Power button to select it.
-
Confirm by selecting “Yes” using the Volume buttons and Power button.
-
Once completed, select “Reboot system now” and press the Power button.
Review Battery and device care > Battery > Background usage limits to manage apps running in the background.
Ensure all apps are fully updated from the Galaxy Store and Play Store.
Run diagnostics under Battery and device care > Diagnostics to check for any irregularities.
If the issue persists, please consider submitting an error report through the Samsung Members app. This will allow our team to review system logs and provide targeted assistance.
We truly appreciate your feedback and are here to support you.
