Is anybody having issues with wifi all of a sudden not working and then drops to LTE/5G and you have to manually go to wifi settings to reconnect again? All my other devices stay connected and wifi works so this isn't an issue with my internet. It happens about every hour it's getting really frustrating. I reset network settings, forget network and rejoined, disabled intelligent wifi options, and I wiped cache partition and the issue still persists.

I haven't had wifi issues on this phone with the December security patch, this all started happening with February update.

Samsung members diagnostics says my wifi is normal and nothing unusual.

In WiFi advanced settings, check the on/off history to see if any apps have turned it off.

Check your router log to see if it has logged why the connection was dropped.

In WiFi settings, try using the phones MAC address instead of a randomized MAC address.

Try enabling WiFi safe mode in developer options to see if that has any effect.

I tried the phones mac address two days ago and the issue seemed to go away but it came back again.

Nothing reported in wifi off/on history.

Nothing unusual on my router log but I rebooted it so I'll have to see if a log pops up eventually.

Hi seo219,

It’s good to hear that using the phone’s MAC address initially seemed to help, but it’s frustrating that the issue returned. Let’s look into a few more steps and diagnostics to pinpoint the problem:

Recheck the MAC Address Setting. Ensure the phone is using Device MAC rather than Randomized MAC: Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > Gear Icon (next to your network) > Advanced > MAC Address Type. Select Use Device MAC if it isn’t already. Some routers might struggle to maintain connections with randomized MACs.

Check Router Logs Again After Reboot. You mentioned rebooting your router, which is a good step! After a period of use, check for logs related to the device or disconnections.

Change Wi-Fi Channel or Frequency Band. Router interference may cause dropouts: Log in to your router and try switching to a different Wi-Fi channel. If your router supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, try connecting your phone to only one band and monitor for stability.

To rule out a network-specific issue, if possible please try connecting your phone to a different Wi-Fi network and observe if the problem persists. This will help confirm whether it’s a phone-specific or network-specific issue.

Thank you.

If the issue still persists after exhausting all possible troubleshooting steps mentioned above. My recommendation would be to either wait for a firmware update from Samsung...(I know..ugh). Or you may need to bite the bullet here and attempt a factory reset of your phone.

Simpler solution:
Forget the network and reset network settings - u will loose other Wi-Fi saved networks in this process then re-add the network

S25 Ultra, it only happens to this phone. My older s23u never had this problem and all my iPhones and other devices stay connected all the time.

Try setting your router to WPA2 only, it seems that having WPA2/WPA3 hybrid is causing issues, WPA3 only mode for me also messes with Apple devices.

Done all that... Even other people's phone swont work, but my laptop works, my watch won't even connect... I had to make a guest account and that works.
