My wife and I both have S6's and yesterday her home screen and power buttons quit working. If she gets a phone call or notification her screen will come on and she'll be able to use the phone but the 2 buttons will still not work.
Any ideas?

while I don't know what could be happening with the phone there is an app I know of that can be an alterative to the power button it's an app called "wave to unlock" after you install it and enable the service you can wave your hand over the top of the phone to lock and unlock it hope this helps

It may be possible to fix this by rebooting your phone. I looked it up, and the way to do this is to hold down the power button and volume down button for about 10-20s.

This should simulate the battery being taken out and put back in. Hopefully, you will be able to do this to fix the button issues, but if the power button has a mechanical issue and it actually doesn't work, then this would not be possible, since it would require the power button to work. But since it is the home and power buttons both not working, then I would guess that it's not an issue of the buttons physically not working; it would probably be an issue with the software.

Hope this helps.
