I've noticed that my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, running One UI 7, takes one to two seconds for the screen to turn off after powering down. This started on April 11th, following the One UI 7 update. A noticeable sound effect plays, and then the screen goes dark a couple of seconds later. Has anyone else experienced this? While it's a minor inconvenience, it does detract from the phone's overall feel of quality and optimization, especially given the delayed update.

I've got an S25 ultra and I'm trying to add my Canadian Debit card to Samsung pass but it will only accept 23 digits... well my debit Card # is 24 digits long!
My wife's 7 year old Apple IPhone has been able to use her card from the same bank and with the same 24 digits for the same 7 years!
*** is going on and can it be fixed??

a) You should probably make your own new post. This post is about a question regarding shut down.

b) Add your Debit card to Samsung Wallet, not Pass.

The shut down on my S25 Ultra, is fairly quick. I see the Samsung Logo very briefly, no audio, just a quick vibration, and off.

It's not a shutdown; it's simply turning it off as usual after use.

"takes one to two seconds for the screen to turn off after powering down.". Powering Down normally means powering off.

Do you mean turning the screen off?

Screen off should be instant.

Not sure if this will fix it, but you could try Booting into Recovery & Wipe Cache. See if that fixes the issue for you?

Hi Khalaf,

Did you try performing Wipe cache partition by booting your device into recovery? Is your issue resolved?
