I updated my phone 4 days ago and now it is constantly freezing and restarting. It's not one specific app, I can be trying to send a text, check memory on my phone anything and it freezes and restarts. the phone is 18 months old and I've never had an issue with it. I've looked on Google and nothing applies to the issue I'm having. help!

Have you tried clearing the cache through android recovery? Have you tried factory reset through android recovery? Just ensure you have proper backups as this will wipe your entire phone.

I've done everything you have suggested. even deleted most of my apps as I talked to my carrier, the guy wasn't much help and said there was too many variables to trouble shoot. it works better now but still crashes.

@Rabmom In addition to @Vic20's sound advice - Have you tried running your device in Safe Mode to see if this eliminates the issues you have? It could be an app that is not compatible with Oreo 8.0..

Have you tried the above suggestions? If you're not willing to, there's not much more we can do to help.

You have to understand that there will always be a risk of software conflicts and corruption that may occur with any update. This is more apparent with a major OS revision. Older residual files can cause a lot of headaches and issues depending on certain circumstances. Why I make it a habit to do clean installs with any major revision update to minimize issues.

You also have to understand they can't fix something if they don't know what's causing it.

Hey @Rabmom, could you please try soft-rebooting your device and check if the issue remains? If so, please contact your local Samsung Service Center (http://www.samsung.com/ca/support/servicelocation/). Thanks!
