I have an S23FE UI 5.1 Android 13 My Files App Version 14.5.00.15.

Can anyone confirm for me, is My Files App functional to add and locate local area network shared storage?

On my phone, I can only access Cloud Storage and Device Storage. The settings or options in My Files does not show an option to Add a network location, yet Network Storage category shows in my list along with Internal, One Drive, and Google.

Thanks in advance!

Looks like the problem in version of My File app.
At s23 version 15 at Galaxy Store it's version 14 that's why app can't update network storage component

I too recently upgraded my samsung phond to a s23 fe and am unable to use the Network feature in my files. Receiving the same error. It needs to download additional file from Galaxy store. When I search the galaxy store on S23 FE, Samsung My Files is missing. When I look on old phone and tablet, it is there.

Still not solved here either. Samsung put me thru all the troubleshoiting steps too. No fix. They tried to remote to my phone but failed to get that to work.. Very disappointing. I'll be trying another chat support later.

Curious: Who is your phone service provider? Mine is Bell Canada. Is there a common provider between us?

This is solved! I checked for phone updates again today to find One UI 6.0 was now available for my phone. Upon updating to UI 6.0 and a Jan 2024 patch for it, Add Network Storage opyion actually presents itself. It downloads an app from the Galaxy Store "Network Storage Manager". Installed and working.

I'm also experiencing this issue on an S23: I am already running One UI 6 and when I attempt to access Network Storage from within My Files I get a message:

"Opening the Galaxy Store to download necessary app..."

followed shortly by

"Can't connect to the server."

I've tried reinstalling My Files, wiping the data and cache from the Samsung Store app, to no avail.

I have the December patch for OneUI6 -- does anyone know if there is a second/January one coming as Yukonuck mentioned? Or any other way to solve this?

Thank you, and yes, I'm on Android 14 as well. I suspected that the Network Manager module hadn't been updated for A14/UI6 until I saw your success... so now I need figure out how you got the manager download to work :)

I just noticed that "allow install from unknown" was enabled for My Files app in settings so it wasn't forced to use Play Store. Maybe that helps?
