Galaxy Sthe shared album lets you share photos with one or more people. You can modify this album as you wish, and it will be updated for the people with whom you share them. The people you share with can download all photos, or choose only those they want to have physically on their cell phone. You can also deny access to the people with whom you share this album. If you delete the shared album, you don't lose your photos - they stay in your main album. Only the people who had the shared album will no longer see them.

You’re absolutely right, if a photo is not downloaded before it's deleted, it can be lost. People might forget to download or think it's safe in the cloud forever. The content is often deleted based on the permissions of the album creator, which can lead to confusion or loss of data.
