Read and delivered notification

Hello

Can someone tell me how to set up my SMS messages to show as read or delivered In the Samsung messages app? I have a Samsung Galaxy s23 on the Bell network.

Delivery Reports need to be allowed by the person you are sending texts to, and iPhones only show delivered, not read. 

I don't use Samsung's Messages, and Samsung's Moderators are advising people to switch to Google Messages. 

Here's what the Settings looks like in Google Messages. 

If the recipient is using RCS Chat, you can get both a delivery report & read report.

Yes, as mentioned above by RedDogRabbit it is recommended to use Google Messages instead of preloaded Samsung Messages App.

Download from Google Play store > Google Messages and set as default. Google Messages ensures a smarter experience through AI suggestions and automatic organization.
