Lately when I've been using Samsung Internet, my search history doesn't show up when I click the search bar. I didn't clear any sort of cache or data or change my internet setting prior to this happening.
This has been going on for at least a month. My phone is updated to the lated version (android 12) and so is my Samsung Internet (18.0.0.58). I've tried restating my phone, clearing cache, deleting storage, but nothing's worked.
This has happened to me a lot in the past before too, so I don't know what's going on. I know people who have the same exact phone and versions that aren't experiencing this problem.
Since Google appears in the Search Box, have you Toggled OFF "Web & App Activity" in Google Search, as that would then disable Search & Web browser History.
No idea why you would bother with Safe Mode for this...
My friend has got the same mobile (s21) and today we've checked that only when you're logged to google you have access to recent sites (they are shown in the bar). Weird because I am almost sure that it worked till yestrday without logging. On screenshot you see that you need to log in to google to have access to recent sites.
Are you using "Secret Mode" on Samsung Internet Browser?
Because that's really the only reason why you wouldn't have any History?
