Samsung Voice Recorder bookmarks are gone after recent update

As far as I can tell, the most recent update of Samsung VOICE RECORDER app blew away the ability to add LABELS to bookmarks in Voice Recorder.  My usage of this app has been heavily dependent on that simple function.

SAMSUNG - please, PLEASE restore this function. It genuinely seems like a step backward.

ALL OTHERS - am I missing something?  If not, has anyone found another voice recorder app that allows labeling of bookmarks?

Still works on my S23 Ultra One UI V6.1. 

Try Clearing Cache for the recorder.

Thank you for your reply. I am able to CREATE bookmarks but, after clearing cache as suggested below, I am still unable to add LABELS to them.  Are you able to both create a bookmark and also add labels to each bookmark?

Hello Helenna.  Thank you for the suggestion.  I have cleared cache for the app and tried it again.  Same behavior - I am able to CREATE bookmarks but the ability to add a custom label to each bookmark is not available. Thank you for any help you can offer.

Same problem for me, looks like the new AI version removes the ability to add notes to bookmarks. I sure hope the Metadata is still present

GrantWFountain's solution worked.  Metadata was preserved - didn't lose any prior bookmarks. Note that the first digit of the version was missing. Version is 21.4.51.51.

I also use this feature to practice music I've learned during rehearsals. Dozens and dozens of carefully named bookmarks are all Gone! This is so upsetting. This App just lost its primary use for me. I need to quickly look for another App or try to roll back this update!

ISSUE RESOLVED: I didn't get any help from Samsung tech support, but it is a very new issue. I uninstalled the App and downloaded an older version. The link to the site with the older Samsung Voice Recorder apps is below. I worked my way the list, starting with the newest earlier version, installing one at a time. I then opened the app and looked for my named timestamps. This is the 'newest' version that worked. THANK YOU GWF!  I will try this and hope for the best. My usage is identical to yours - bookmarks for all my recorded rehearsals were lost. Agony.
