First off, I'd like to thank Samsung for the Wireless convertible charger and 128 GB MicroSD card that I received this week. THANKS SAMSUNG!!!

Now that I got that out of the way, I noticed something strange when using the wireless charger. I use Tasker on my S8+ to turn on AOD when my phone is charging and off when it's no longer charging, it has been working great (Samsung should implement that option for AOD in the future), I have a Spigen wireless charger on my night table, when I put on the charger, AOD turns on and stays on until I remove my phone from the charger, however when I put my phone on the Samsung wireless charger, AOD turns on (as expected) but then AOD turns off once the phone is fully charged.

Does the Samsung wireless charger stop charging once the phone is fully charged? I don't think it does as the green LED on my phone is on to show that the phone is fully charged.

Any ideas???

When your phone is fully charged, it does stop charging your phone. I believe on my wireless convertible charger, the led light goes blue indicating the phone is fully charged and the led on the phone should go green. It doesn't continue to charge, it just holds the charge at 100% until you remove it.
Same happens when you plug your phone in with a cable and its fully charged. The led on the phone stays green but it does not continue to charge your phone.

Hope this helps @Cprice and glad you are enjoying your new wireless charger :)

@SnowCat19, the LED on the charger is blue while charging and red on the phone, they both turn green once fully charged, but I'm just trying to figure or understand why my AOD turns off when my phone is fully charged on the Samsung wireless charger, this doesn't happen when is charging in the car, plugged directly with a cable or using the Spigen wireless charger.

Don't get me wrong, I'm digging this charger, I wanted to use it on my night table instead of the Spigen one, but then AOD would turn off during the night once fully charged, I liked being able to just glance over at my phone to see the time if I happen to wake up before my alarm goes off in the morning, just to know how much more time I have to sleep lol

it does stop charging when full charge. I tried connecting power bank to wireless charger. phone was on charging overnight and power bank was stuck at 83% because phone was fully charged.

Hey @Cprice! Have you tried using Schedule option for AOD? Try to use that function and set them off during the time when you are sleeping. Thanks!

@Nick, the schedule option doesn't work for me as I would like AOD to only be on when my phone is charging no matter what time of day or night it is.

hey @Cprice, I have a third-party charger and I noticed that the Tasker app also did the same thing to my s7 when it is fully charged. a workaround I discovered was the lucid daydream screensaver, which some people consider not as attractive however it stays on all night for me while it is on my wireless charging dock . I also have it set to show different types of alerts such as emails, text messages, missed calls since I use do not disturb mode in the evening. 78990a75-5dd4-4719-96ef-8eebe1329ef9.jpg

@carr0498, I tried lucid daydream and I really didn't like the look of it, I prefer the look of Samsung's AOD, but thanks anyway

@Cprice what didn't you like if you don't mind me asking? you can customize the format of the time & date. the only thing you can't do is have the vertical style time
