Can anyone tell me how to save photos from my Whatsapp & Outlook apps. I want to save photos from Whatsapp individually, not have them automatically save every time someone sends something. The save option doesnt come up no matter what I've tried. Maybe I'm missing something?! Also for Outlook the option doesnt come up so save or download then save either. HELP!

Hey @kurly,

For Whatsapp: Open WhatsApp >> click on three dots >> Settings >> Data and Storage usage >> Click on "When using mobile data" uncheck the boxes for which you want to save manually and repeat same for "When connected to wifi".

To Save Email Attachments in outlook: Open the message in Outlook >> Click on Attachments area >> select the attachment dropdown arrow next to an attached file >> Select Save As or Save All Attachments >> In the Save All Attachments dialog box, click on the files you want to save>> Click OK.

I hope it helps you.

Thanks, @jamesy for sharing the information.

Hey. No the above steps didnt work for me. I guess I'll just have to keep deleting photos every so often.

I just switched from an Iphone to a Samsung about 2 months ago now. I love the Samsung phone but these few problems have been frustrating. Other than the Whatsapp & Outlook issues, Snapchat wont let me layer filters. All three of these simple things I had no problem with on the Iphone.

Hi @kurly,

When you download a media file, it'll automatically be saved to your phone's gallery. The Media visibility option is turned on by default. This feature only affects new media that's downloaded once the feature has been turned on or off and doesn’t apply to old media.

To stop media from all your individual chats and groups from being saved follow the below steps:

Open WhatsApp >> Tap on three dots >> Settings >> Chats >> Turn off Media visibility.

To stop media from a particular individual chat or group from being saved follow the below steps:

Open an individual chat or group >> click on three dots >> Tap Media visibility >> No >> OK.

I hope it will help you.
