Correct me if I am wrong, but as far as I know there is nothing that can be done to deactivate the buttons with a cracked screen. The phone may have to be sent out for a screen repair as the cracked glass is probably putting pressure over top of the buttons.

Hey @Bambi, fellow member @jayman1973 is correct in that you wouldn't be able to "deactivate" the buttons on your cracked screen. Your best bet is to have your screen replaced, to prevent your device from having more issues. Please visit your local Samsung Service location (http://www.samsung.com/ca/support) and we can go through your options with you. Thanks!

I just wanted to say that i did find an app that deactivated the hot keys (back and recent) and was able to DL an app that i could use while putting the navigation bar for the hot keys on the top bottom left or right side of the screen. I did eventually get a replacement phone thru my extended warenty thru telus. but juat thought id let u all know you can deactivate the hot keys.
