Galaxy SHi, please try the below settings and see if it works again.
Open Settings >> Select Sound and vibration >> Select Separate app sound >> Enable this by clicking Turn on now >> Now, you can choose one of the Apps listed as the player or you can choose the application that is not listed >> Once the App has been selected, go to Audio Device, select the device you want to use for the App. Now you are good to go. Please make sure you choose an audio device that is different from your main audio output device.
Thank you.

Galaxy SHi Withoutrules,
Sorry to see that this issue started after the update. You can try booting your device into Wipe cache partition and see if it helps.
Turn off the device > Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Power Key > When the Android logo displays, release all keys.(("Installing system update" is displayed before displaying the Android system recovery menu options) > Press the Volume down key several times to highlight “wipe cache partition.” > Press the Power key to select > Press the Volume down key to highlight > “yes” and press the Power key to select. When the wipe cache partition is complete, “Reboot system now” is highlighted. Press the Power key to restart the device.
