I use the swipe features on my phone for my recent apps on the left, home in the middle and the back button on the right. A few others and myself have noticed that sometimes the back swipe sometimes brings up recent apps. It can be replicated if you accidentally swipe slightly to the left and then up for the back button.

We also found if you go into "gesture hints" and turn them off, you get an option to enable and disable "switch apps when hints hidden".

Why is there not an option to leave gesture hints on, but disable "switch between apps"?

Possibly because there's limitations on what the programmers can do, and possibly because having all conceivable options available would start to create conflicts.

I understand you can't have everything, but why even have the feature to swipe to see recent apps in the first place? The recent apps button is about an inch away. My thumb is a little janky and I just want to go back, but instead open the recent apps by accident a few times in a row.

I swipe the back button, but I get recent apps. I can fix it by turning off "gesture hints" in the settings. When doing that an option comes up letting me enable or disble "switch apps when hints hidden".

My question is why do I not get the option to disable if I have gesture hints on?

Yeah, and by the way, I'm using the browser version of Samsung Members, so it's not obvious to me who you were replying to earlier 😊
