TEXT MSG IF LONGER CANT VIEW HAVE TO CLICK TO MAXIMIZE

Just bought Samsung Galaxy s8+ .. . never had this on s5 .. . whenever I receive a long text msg it doesn't show the whole thing I have to click the msg and go into another screen to view the whole msg then after hit back button again. THIS IS A PAIN. I want to be able to change this is a setting but it doesnt exist in settings. Please add a way to show the whole text msg if longer without this hassle.

I agree!!!! I have the s7 and the new upgrade which was forced upon us changed a few features for the worse!! I want to see the whole message and to be able to text and switch between languages automatically like before.

Unfortunately the stock messaging app is locked with this "view all" feature, you can download a third party texting app like textra or facebook messenger and turn on sms to overcome this limitation

I agree. There should be a setting to automatically expand. I'm not sure of the reasoning behind but having it all show in the first place.

As per Nick, he said this is a huge issue and lots of complaints, so should get resolved in next update/patch :)

In the meantime while you wait for it to get fixed, if you are thinking about using another texting app, I would highly recommend Textra. It's an amazing, popular, highly-customizable and convenient alternative. I used it for quite a while on my old phone (Galaxy S5). :)
