Samsung S21 FE - I have encountered the isshe where releasing my finger causes it to scroll in a random direction. I have also noticed the touchscreen seems to be much more sensitive. This happens in several different apps.

I have heard online that this is a software bug, anyone know when it can get fixed?

Before you start looking for a repair, start with:

Open the Samsung Members app & Click on Support & run the Diagnostics for your device. See if you get any error messages for the Touch Screen.

Boot into Recovery & Wipe Cache.

Boot into Recovery & Factory Reset (backup your device with Smart Switch first).

See if the issue is resolved?

If not, you may want to visit a Samsung Service Centre to get it checked out by a tech.

Oh and yeah, it's not a software "bug" from Samsung.. online info is not reliable, especially depending on the source.

Hi coolsbounce,

We are sorry to hear this touch sensitivity issue on your Samsung S21 FE.

Along with the suggestions by RedDogRabbit, you can also try boot your phone into Safe Mode (press and hold the power button, then tap and hold Power Off > Safe Mode). This will disable third-party apps temporarily. If the issue resolves, an app may be causing the problem.

If that doesn't work, please back up your device and perform factory data reset by following the steps in the given links.

https://www.samsung.com/ca/support/mobile-devices/back-up-and-restore-data-on-your-galaxy-phone/

If that doesn't resolve the issue, as a last resort please visit the nearest Samsung Authorized service to get the device examined by the service technician to get it fixed.

Please visit the link above link to know the nearest Samsung Authorized service center.

Thank you.
