Does anyone else have their recent apps replaced with recommended apps with no remedy in the latest UI update? I constantly use the recent apps because there are a few apps I use all the time, but now it seems that I don't have that option anymore, and it only gives me a listing for stock apps from Samsung that I never use... I've gone through the settings, in the logical places, but it appears I don't have a proper option to change this... It just allows me to use recommended apps or not have anything show up when I hit the recents button... is there a remedy for this?

Same problem here. Hoping that Samsung restores the previous behavior.

Yep, it is only Samsung recommended apps or nothing. No more recent apps. Galaxy S20 FE 5G after One UI 4.1 installed. Shame to the UX focus group approved such decision. Wiping the cache did not help. It seems it will be the first and last time I've bought Samsung device.

Another topic on this issue has been closed with the 'solution' that this is the way it is now. 😡

Samsung should see this topic exploding 5 min after update!

Samsung, you need to fix this trash. What genius developer thought, "you know that feature people use all the time to re-open recently closed apps? Well, what if we changed it to randomly suggest only Samsung built-in apps that our customers never use?"

Extremely frustrating as I use the recent apps shortcut constantly. Samsung needs to fix this ASAP.

Please fix this. This has reduced the productivity of our devices. Now I've gone from using the recent apps often to never using the replacement recommended apps as they are not the apps I actually want to open.

This is BS what dullard thought we'd only want to see Samsung app instead of recent apps? This is **bleep**e and dumb, Can't wait for the new EU bill to clear that will force providers to allow us to remove ALL apps we don't want.

Hello dear Samsung developers/evangelists/innovation team/etc.,

I rarely make an account to some forums to complain about a change. This is one of those situations ... please revert before the last configuration change update, and fire those idiots that thought this would be a great idea.

Many thanks for your understanding!

Sincerely yours,

Cristi

I'm with you there - why remove a perfectly good feature and replace it with this? I used that function all day long... what gives?

Agree - this is awful. I thought it might sort itself out after a day or two of non-Samsung app usage but no, the bloatware stays there. Really, Samsung, just because you put your apps there doesn't meant more people will use them - they'll just get annoyed and some will move away from Samsung. Not smart ....
