Does anyone else have their recent apps replaced with recommended apps with no remedy in the latest UI update? I constantly use the recent apps because there are a few apps I use all the time, but now it seems that I don't have that option anymore, and it only gives me a listing for stock apps from Samsung that I never use... I've gone through the settings, in the logical places, but it appears I don't have a proper option to change this... It just allows me to use recommended apps or not have anything show up when I hit the recents button... is there a remedy for this?

This is terrible. I hope they change it back. Was just looking all over for a way to fix it but it guess it's supposed to be broken. The way it is now it's useless!

My S20 Ultra just received the One UI V4.1 Update & there's no issue with Recents.

But check the Recents Settings on your device & Just Toggle OFF "Show Recommended Apps".

Samsung PLEASE fix this! The removal of the letters on the side of the contacts list was one thing that could be adapted to, but this recent apps function is one that I have been relying on since I got my very first Samsung. It is greatly reducing my efficiency on my phone now and I am extremely frustrated! I wish I could have had the choice to download the newest update, but it was forced upon me - I put it off as ling as I could. Not a happy customer!

Verizon pushed this to my S10e phone yesterday. I've been through every comment and can't deduce a solution. Can anyone confirm that a future update will rectify this or should I go to the Verizon store and buy a Pixel today so I can continue to work?

+1 on this annoying, horrible update! Noticed it was showing some odd apps there but didn't know why

The fix is simple and easy. Go to Galaxy Store and update Samsung One UI Home. Done.

Where exactly did you find it? It's not showing under that name on my Galaxy Store, or under any name in fact. And when looking for it in the Google Play Store it does not show an option to be installed or updated either... and says last update was on 2019. I'm on a Samsung A72, maybe I don't get access to that? Was hoping to fix this insanely annoying issue with the recent apps.

Are you in Canada? What is the model number of your device?

Here's a screen shot of the app on the Galaxy Store.

It was last updated April 13th 2022.
