Does anyone else have their recent apps replaced with recommended apps with no remedy in the latest UI update? I constantly use the recent apps because there are a few apps I use all the time, but now it seems that I don't have that option anymore, and it only gives me a listing for stock apps from Samsung that I never use... I've gone through the settings, in the logical places, but it appears I don't have a proper option to change this... It just allows me to use recommended apps or not have anything show up when I hit the recents button... is there a remedy for this?

As stated above, Samsung has fixed the issue. You can check the Galaxy Store for the update. It didn't show for me, so I manually downloaded it from APKMirror and it was "back to normal" right away.

Can confirm this on my brand new A53.

Off course wiping the cache does not do anything.

I've set my device to German, the option clearly says "Empfohlene Apps anzeigen", which is recommended apps, not recent apps.

For me, the greatest app shown is the one-time use unlocker app for a paid RocketPlayer app...

Seems that I have jumped ship from Xiaomi's abysmal updates just in time to join the same mess in Samsung. (My other Samsungs are a Tab A7 (2020) and my ancient A5 work phone)

I just got the April security update pushed from T-Mobile, in the US, and the problem seems to be fixed. Not before I wiped the cache and data from the old app, losing all my shortcuts and folders, though, in an effort to "fix" the problem using suggested "solutions"... Oh, well. I guess I needed to clean up my desktop, anyway. Now, if we could just get the use of the multi-clipboard back with the G Board keyboard... Too much to ask? Too soon?

Good news: April security update fixes this. It has been driving me crazy since I use the recent apps feature several times a day every day.

Bad news: I have to wait for T-Mobile to get around to letting the unlocked phone people receive this update. Just got the March 1 2022 update on April 20. So I guess this will be working for me sometime in May or June.

Mine updated this morning and created the issue - so it's not fixed.

"My S20 Ultra just received the One UI V4.1 Update & there's no issue with Recents.

But check the Recents Settings on your device & Just Toggle OFF "Show Recommended Apps".

[Posted April 27th]

But I never had the issue with Recents & I still don't.

Did you check to see if you can Toggle OFF "Show Recommended Apps"?

What device do you have?

Agreed! This is really really really annoying! I use it all the time!

It needs to be fixed! Or I want to be able to uninstall the update!

Don't try and fix something that's not broken! Put it back!!!!!!!
