Has anyone else had problems since the last update?😥😬😫😫😫
Everything has disappeared. When I reinstall disappears again.
My internet & data is losing connection, which is a real problem when I'm driving and I'm using Maps.
My battery is getting used up 2% for every minute.
I have to touch everything 2 and 3 times for it to open.
Nothing seems to be working.
All of my bookmarks on my Homepage is gone even though I have backed up everything. When I called Samsung they said I did not back everything up but yet my backup shows that I backed up 6 hours prior to the update on Samsung and on Google. .... But when I've contacted them they said it's not worthy of escalating to the next level.
But when I Google it it shows that this has been a problem with Samsung since 2018. So you would think in the 4 years they would figure it out. If they're using the excuse that you have to back up the phone before you have an update then they should have a backup. Button prior to the update okay.
Do I just throw the phone away and go with another phone and carrier? Is this a problem they will fix? I really don't have the time to continually download apps and do the research again to put the bookmarks on my homepage. And they don't have a place to put bookmarks except for on the homepage. I'm at a loss I don't know what I should do about this.

Have you backed up your data using Samsung Switch? Via Samsung Samsung Cloud? Via Google Backup? If yes, are all your notes and contacts and messages backed up?

If yes, I'd suggest using Smart Switch to do a complete reinstall, or even downloading the latest image and flashing it with Odin. Then restore data in parts, such as contacts and notes first, then applications later.

I know it's crazy I've never seen anything like this happen. amazes me more is everything on the internet stays on the internet. But for some reason this problem can be solved. what's even more frustrating is it just keeps happening over and over again now that it's started it doesn't seem to stop

I own the S9 and have not experienced any issues since the last update. Everything downloaded and installed properly. No important apps, files or pictures were deleted.

I've had a cell phone since the nineties. And I've never had this problem. what amazes me more is that Samsung doesn't seem to have any idea how to remedy that the issue

Hi RByrd57,
The update would not erase any data on the device. As you had this problem, we suggest you to boot the phone in safe mode as it helps you find problems with your apps. so that you can identify the app and uninstall that may be causing a conflict.
Entering Safe mode:
1. After turning off the phone, turn it on.
2. Once the Samsung logo has started, press and hold the volume down button.
3. When the home screen appears, the safe mode is displayed in the lower-left corner of the screen.
How to deactivate safe mode.
1. Press and hold the power button.
2. Tap Restart.

well obviously none of that is correct what you're saying because I called Samsung and they took over my phone remotely. And they couldn't fix the problem. The crazy thing is if my phone stays on for more than 6 hours all of my apps say that they're not valid. sometimes they'll come back when I return the phone on and sometimes they don't. But nothing else has come back to my homepage like for example recipes that I put on my homepage. Government official sites to do with covid-19 are all gone even though it shows I've nine pages of bookmarks. I'm never going to buy a Samsung again. I think this is completely unacceptable as my phone hardly works at all, and it's only 8 months old.
