I have a Galaxy S21 and about 3 days ago, after my phone had a system update (6.1), my wifi would automatically disconnect. Every minute or so I would have to turn it back on myself, and the issue would still persist even after restarting my phone, turning off intelligent wifi and letting my phone rest. Now, MY WIFI WONT EVEN TURN ON. I've been using data (5G) for the past few days and I just want the issue fixed☹️

Trouble shooting methods I've tried:
Clearing cache on all apps
Shutting down and restarting phone
Turned off Intelligent Wifi
Forgetting the network and reconnecting (can't anymore cause wifi won't turn on)

Also its not just my home network, it was reacting the same with others.

I don't want to reset my phone, but I honestly might have to and backup my data cause I'm tired of using data.

Is anyone else experiencing this and does anyone know any solutions?

This is how it looks in my settings. No matter how long I wait, it looks like this.

Hi johnstew,

We’re sorry to hear about the Wi-Fi issue after the One UI 6.1 update on your Galaxy S21. We appreciate your efforts in trying the necessary troubleshooting steps. We recommend you to please try the following steps and see if it helps to resolve the issue:

Reset Network Settings: Go to Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings. This will not delete personal data but will reset Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Mobile data settings.

Wipe Cache Partition: Power off your phone > Press and hold Volume Up + Power > In Recovery mode, select Wipe cache partition > Reboot.

Test in Safe Mode: Press and hold the power button > Tap and hold "Power off" > Select Safe Mode. Check if Wi-Fi works here.

Samsung Members Diagnostics: Open Samsung Members > Get Help > Diagnostics > Wi-Fi to check for hardware issues.

If the issue persists after these steps, please back up your data and consider performing a Factory Data Reset as a last resort.

Thanks,

For anyone who has any inquiries if any of these troubleshooting methods worked, unfortunately for me, they don't. I tried all that was recommended, and the last on my list is to back up all of my data and reset! 🫡
