Currently running oneui 7. Looks like it's a wide spread issue. Can't upload screenshot here as I don't know how to do it. Please someone help or Samsung, push an update to rectify this..

Hi ShreySh,

We completely understand how concerning it can be to see Contacts Storage consuming an unusually high amount of battery.

Please restrict Background Usage for WhatsApp: Navigate to Settings > Apps > WhatsApp > Battery. Set battery usage to Restricted.

If you're using Dual Messenger for WhatsApp, consider disabling it temporarily under Settings > Advanced Features > Dual Messenger.

Dual WhatsApp may trigger repeated contact access in the background, which increases battery usage for the Contacts Storage process.

We recommend submitting a report using the Samsung Members app so our developers can analyze log files directly from your device:

Open the Samsung Members app. Tap Get Help > Error reports > Battery. Attach a screenshot of your battery usage and provide details about when the issue started

Your feedback is essential, and we appreciate your patience while we work toward a resolution.

Thank you.

Well, Contacts has used ZERO battery since the last full charge on my S25 Ultra.

Maybe try Uninstalling WhatsApp, or disable it to test.

WhatsApp is the only thing that I've seen causing the problem for some people.

I don't use WhatsApp on any of my devices.

If you go to Settings > Apps & Search for Contacts, Scroll down to Battery.. what do you see?
