Dark Theme constantly disappears on Google Maps

Seems to affect all samsung devices on android 11 or 12.
The theme option in google maps is not there, and if you can get it to appear by constantly clearing cache and signing out then it disappears a few days later.

Yes they are both the same version of maps (11.18.0)
I would agree with you except I am only seeing this issue with Samsung devices and no other devices. All with the same version of Android and same version of Google maps.
By the process of elimination the only common denominator for the issue is the devices are Samsung.
Hopefully my screenshots can show that the option disappears and I have not seen this happen on any of my devices that are not Samsung

I get what you are saying, it's just that it's not happening on my S20 Ultra One UI V4.0.

Don't think that this could be a possible explanation, but are you using any Samsung Themes?

Yes tried that already and the problem will persist. The option appears and after some time it disappears

Appears this only affects tablets and foldables. Might be a google issue after all with the app not being optimized for foldables
