Seems to affect all samsung devices on android 11 or 12.
The theme option in google maps is not there, and if you can get it to appear by constantly clearing cache and signing out then it disappears a few days later.  2022-02-16 09.14.17.jpg2022-02-16 09.18.25.jpg

Go to developer options then scroll down to force dark mode. (To enable developer mode go to about phone/ software information/ tap build number 5 times.)

Tap Build Number 7 times 😉

Theme option for Google Maps is there for me, and if you are using any Bar or QR codes, forcing Dark Mode in Dev Options, will likely be a problem for the scanners that want to use either.

I haven't noticed, but it's possible that with some of Google Maps updates, the option in it's settings may change from time to time.

Hi Jamal, we suggest you to perform clear cache clear data and see if it resolves the issue..

Clearing the application cache will remove any remaining files that may slow down the application.

In Settings, swipe and tap Applications. Select the applications phone and message. Tap Storage, then tap Empty Cache.

If this doesn't work, tap on "Clear Data" ( Note: this will clear all the app data on your phone and you will need to log in again).

If this doesn’t work we suggest you to force stop the application. Here are the steps to force stop an application.

Tap on apps >> tap 3 dots in top right corner >> tap show system apps >> find and tap on Google Maps >> tap forcestop >> tap on storage and tap on clear data

Not to be rude but if you read my post I clearly state that clearing cache sometimes resolves the issue but it's only temporary as eventually the theme option will once again disappear.

I'm just wondering if this is occurring on the same version of Maps?

I think that there's been more than one update to Maps in the past few days, that's why I'm asking about the version number.

I don't think that it's a Samsung issue though, as I can't see any way how Samsung's UI could have anything to do with Map's options in it's settings.
