Why can't I access the recorder's "import" sources? And if this is possible, please post the solution. Have checked app settings, storage and can't seem to access a home storage place for these files except where managed internally, by the app itself. For example, I send or receive a file. Usually, I can save such files somewhere. In this case, I do not have access within another app to open it "externally" to voice recorder - fine. That's okay. But, I do want to be able to save it in my device's storage under "my files". This is not an option. Instead, I can save the file under Google Files, Google Drive, and send via email - which although it's my stock Samsung email app, also happens to be a Gmail account, of course. So, inside this app, no go.
Then, inside voice recorder, no access to storage, no import options even if an audio file were to be saved in my files. As a result, I can only find this file in this application, or in Google. This, unlike other file types from the same application such as photos, videos, documents, links. All those I can store AND open with Samsung stock apps.
Why can't I do the same with audio, Samsung?
This gap is forcing my use of Google systems when I wish to choose not to.
Asking for support from your team, please. And, insights from the community to help troubleshoot please.
With thanks to all,
ss.

Galaxy ZUsing a file explorer, go to:
storage/emulated/0/recordings/voice
You'll find your voice recordings there.. if that's what you are asking...at least I think that is what you're asking from the somewhat convoluted post.
