I use a Samsung Galaxy phone.

I used Nearby Share until now and it worked flawlessly.

I was recently prompted to upgrade to QuickShare, so I did.

Now that I try to send any files to other phone(s) via Quick

Share, it simply doesn't show the recipient's name despite setting the Visibility to Everyone, disabling Power saving mode, keeping Bluetooth turned on, being on the same Wi-Fi network as the recipient.

I'm attaching associated screenshots for your reference.

Is this due to any recent updates or security patch?

Any help appreciated.

I tried uninstalling and re-installing Quick Share updates, still no luck.

No, don't update again. Use the base version.

Hi kp7, thank you for your effort in trying multiple solutions. This seems to be an edge case.

You can try to do 'Reset network settings' in the 'Reset' menu. However, please keep in mind that this will wipe all saved connections including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

To bring this to the attention of the developers, you may also want to submit an error report through the Samsung Members app.

Hello Gang.

Quickshare won't send if you have a VPN running in 1 device. For example I had 1.1.1.1 running in my tablet and not on my phone, as soon as I disabled 1.1.1.1 on my tablet quickshare sends the files no problem.
