banking apps don't require us to disable developer options...
this is pathetic.

I have the same problem with the app. There is no reason why any app should know weather development options is on or off.

banking apps are fine with developer options enabled.

I only use the app to load funds.
thankfully, the presto website lets me do that as well, so I’m getting rid of the app.....

I have a rooted tablet I use for testing and the presto app did not complain.

Hi oooOmitoOooo,

Thank you for sharing the experience with us. We understand your concern regarding the requirement to disable developer options when using the Presto card app, and we sincerely apologize for any frustration this may have caused. Please note that the Presto card app is a third‑party application, and as such, Samsung Canada does not have access to its internal policies or technical requirements.

We encourage you to reach out directly to the application’s support team. They will be best positioned to provide accurate information and guidance regarding this matter.

I don’t understand why you're apologizing for something that's beyond samsung’s control.

I created this topic to raise awareness.

I remember before some Banks supported Samsung Wallet, maybe even Google Wallet.. if you wanted to make payments from your phone, you had to use the Bank's app, and it wouldn't work if you had Developer Options Enabled... Maybe Presto needs to update their philosophy?

Samsung's bot probably misunderstood what you were posting?

I'm afraid I don't get you.

I didn't know that some banking apps imposed this requirement.

are you saying presto should adopt the same philosophy?

I'm not saying that at all.. as for my comment about Mobile Bank Payments.. Before the TD app was available on the Play Store.. You could make Mobile Payments from your phone, with TD Easyweb.. But If you had Developer Options Enabled, you were blocked from making a payment.. That has obviously changed, and several years ago now..

I am suggesting that maybe Presto is using an antiquated system, that they need to update, because if Developer Options are preventing you from using it.. it sounds like what I described that TD USED to do.. Hopefully this post is clear.
