Hi, thank you for reading this. I have a few questions I would like answered, thank you. The first question will be more general, and the other two specific.

How do I check the status of the automated bug report for the phone randomly crashing / rebooting?

Why is my phone randomly crashing and would reboot 50% of the time (other 50, I need to manually). I used Magisk to patch the boot image, the most popular option. No one else seem to be having this issue though.

There is a solution to enable standalone DeX on any device with that feature, like in the tablet series. This is done by doing a very short (1 word) edit with the /system/vendor/etc/floating_features.xml file. I did this, mounting as RW and saving the file. The change would save successfully, staying after clearing all app data of my root file Explorer, but would not persist after a reboot. Why would this happen?

Any developers from Samsung that could help me through these, I would love that!

What is the model number of your device, ie: SM-xxxxx?

What Region are you located in?

Random Reboots are often caused by incompatible software or settings.

With a Rooted device, if you "tweaked" the Kernel, that is a likely cause of Random Reboots.

If you're talking about Bug Reports sent to Samsung, and as you have an International variant, if you're in Canada, I don't they will help you at all.

You can get System Logs yourself & read them after a Random Reboot.

The phone is a Note 9, International
varient.

I am located in Canada

I have used smartpack to tweak the CPU clock speed before, but it's been on default for a while and the problems are still happening.

Could you tell me more about the system logs?

Samsung Canada definitely isn't going to help you.

Here's a link on getting System Logs.

After your Note Reboots, does it behave normally?

It's possible that it could also be a hardware issue with the emmc?

Thank you for your link to the xda guide. I will look into it in my own time. Also, maybe there is a way to talk to you or others ls more about this issue than here?

After the Note reboots, it behaves normally. If it was a hardware issue with the emmc, I'd think the phone would just not boot, similar to how dead ssds on computers work?

The reason I mentioned the emmc, is that I had a Rooted Note 4 several years ago, and it initially started with Random Reboots, but it ended up being the emmc was starting to fail.. eventually it wouldn't boot unless you put it in the freezer for an hour or so.. seriously, I am not joking about that.

Hopefully hardware isn't your issue.

XDA is probably a better place to discuss the issue than here.

As additional note, I have tested all my Magisk modules, and none of them were causing the problem.
