So I know it seems like Samsung has already answered this question themselves by putting Google Messages as default messaging app on their latest phones. But, even though I dint have RCS on my Samsung Messages app due to it being  an Indian variant and not the Canadian one, I'm wondering which app do you all prefer and use?

As an extension of that question, are you all fully invested in the Samsung apps that you use those as your default apps, I.e. Mail, Internet, Bixby, or do you use Google Apps or even Microsoft since Samsung has a partnership with both? I've gone back and forth on these things. I've gone from using Samsungs apps because if I'm in the ecosystem I might as well fully avail myself with it to using Microsoft apps, Outlook, Edge as my default apps: Outlook has better controls brought over from desktop and Edge syncs favorites and such. So, I'm just curious as to what everyone else is using.

For some apps, I prefer to use Google's, ie: Gmail, Messages, Maps, Translate, Google Assistant (Okay Google).

For some such as Google Messages, essentially it was because RCS was more fully supported by the Carriers than Samsung's Messages. Gmail really out of habit. Assistant, because I feel it's just far better than Bixby (why reinvent the wheel).

I do prefer Samsung's Internet Browsers to pretty much any other Browsers available.

Samsung Health.. USED to be much better than Google Fit, but the simplicity of Samsung Health has declined as far as I am concerned the last couple of years. Getting the info you want, used to be a lot more straightforward than now.

These are all just my personal preferences, so others will certainly not agree on all points.

What keeps me with Samsung is definitely the hardware, I just wish that Samsung wouldn't keep removing, what it used to consider basic (And MUCH Superior) functions, such as the Notification LED (yeah there's workarounds), Heart Rate & O² Sensors (No I don't want a Samsung Watch, I prefer my TAG), But the biggest annoyance was Samsung removing the external sd card slot! AND IT'S NOT about storage space, it's about practicality, flexibility & functionality!

Smart Switch backups to the sd card (yeah OTG, but), Simply inserting the sd card on a new device & Restore. Don't always have access to the Cloud, SECURITY is a big one for me vs Cloud storage. etc

Probably missed some points, but working on just one 😉

Morning praise & rant over 😁
