I dont like the new update on the multi app/split screen view. I hate that it closes both apps now, what's the point of split screen view if you don't have seperate controls on each side of the split screen apps. DON'T FIX WHAT'S NOT BROKEN.
Split sceen view was really useful to me when driving, but now its not with the new update.
I CAN'T "MULTITASK" ANYMORE.
My usual use for split view were gps, contacts and music
I liked that i can keep my gps open while opening up contacts for calls or music, or any other apps that i need on the other side of the screen.
With the new update, the two apps are just locked together. I can't keep one app open while changing the other side with another app that i need to use.
Split screen view is almost basically useless to me now. Isn't the point of split screen feature is for "MULTITASKING"? why fix that's not broken?
I know. Everytime when I want to open split screen for Calendar or email while on the phone, it doesn't work like old days. Hopefully OneUI 3.1 will have the fix.
Hi EuSeii, Providing a feature consisting of split screens in the Recents menu is a new concept starting from One UI 3.0. I suggest you please try creating the app pairs for easy switching between the apps while on Split screen view.
Hi keagan, Thanks for the suggestion. However, the new concept is a bit hard to accept, at least not me. New UI3 split screen we need to preset before use. But think about something like...someone call you, you accept the call. Then my client ask if you are free on whatever date. I cannot open split screen right away. But I cannot tell me client...could you hang up now, let me open split screen, then call you back? No, the new concept sounds good, but not feasible in real life. The only time I can use split screen is I open the preset split screen first, then will work. If using a single app and wants to switch to split screen, doesn't work. 😔
